Clear, practical answers based on early, proactive pregnancy care.

1. Do I need private pregnancy care if I am already under the NHS?

No — private pregnancy care is often used alongside NHS maternity services.

Many women choose private care early in pregnancy to establish reassurance, confirm that the pregnancy is developing normally, and receive guidance at a stage when NHS appointments may not yet be offered. Private care allows closer monitoring, early intervention where appropriate, and time to discuss concerns in detail.

2. How early in pregnancy should I see a doctor?

Ideally, as early as 4–5 weeks, once pregnancy is suspected or confirmed.

At this stage, we can:

  • Confirm whether the pregnancy is developing inside the womb
  • Assess early signs of viability, including the presence of embryonic activity when appropriate
  • Identify conditions such as ectopic pregnancy early, when intervention is safer
  • Establish a medical baseline for ongoing care

Early assessment significantly improves the ability to respond quickly if concerns arise.tions and better outcomes.

3. Why do you recommend regular pregnancy check-ups, even if I feel well?

Pregnancy changes month by month, and sometimes week by week.

Following European standards of care, regular monitoring allows us to:

  • Detect subtle changes early
  • Adjust care if hormone levels, symptoms, or scan findings change
  • Reassure women when everything is progressing normally
  • Act promptly if something requires attention

Early awareness often means more options and better outcomes.

4. What if I experience bleeding in early pregnancy?

Bleeding in early pregnancy does not automatically mean pregnancy loss.

If assessed early, we can:

  • Perform an ultrasound to understand what is happening
  • Check key pregnancy hormones
  • Identify whether hormonal support may be beneficial

In many cases, hormonal treatment can support the pregnancy and significantly improve the chance of continuing safely to delivery. Timing is critical — early assessment matters.

5. Are private pregnancy scans and early checks safe?

Yes. Ultrasound scans and blood tests are widely used, safe, and well-established tools when performed appropriately by trained clinicians.

We follow medical guidelines and use investigations only when clinically justified, focusing on reassurance, safety, and informed decision-making.

6. Can you support me if I’ve had previous pregnancy loss or complications?

Yes. We regularly support women who have experienced:

  • Previous pregnancy loss
  • Early bleeding or hormonal concerns
  • Anxiety following difficult pregnancy experiences

Care is sensitive, individualised, and focused on both medical and emotional reassurance, with close monitoring where appropriate.

7. Can you support me if I’m trying to get pregnant and haven’t been successful so far?

Yes. We support women who are trying to conceive, particularly where pregnancy has not occurred despite previous attempts or where standard advice has not led to success.

Our approach focuses on:

  • Assessing hormonal balance and cycle health
  • Identifying factors that may be affecting implantation or early pregnancy development
  • Supporting the body medically where intervention is appropriate
  • Monitoring early pregnancy closely once conception occurs

Early assessment and timely medical support can make a significant difference, especially when challenges are identified and addressed proactively.
